Nice Squirrel pose \O
It looked so funny - I know that my cats had home do sharpen their claws as well on their cat tree but they never hug the whole cat tree as this giant lion compared to my small cats did \O

It got now a bit quiet during our drive but we stopped for vultures

Image

as well as the ever present zebras

Image

who were around plentiful and we enjoyed all the views into the nearly empty Shingwedzi

Image

until we reached Red Rocks lookout point where we always take our time in watching around

Image

and simply enjoy the silence and views from there.

Image

Image

Although we drove all loops along the tar road it got now extreme quiet but we nevertheless continued as we wanted to drive still today the S56 and after a short visit to Babalala we slowly strolled along our beloved Mphongololo loop and soon stopped for a colourful plum coloured starling

Image

and more zebras

Image

Image

some with oxpeckers

Image

and with a group of warthogs in front.

We came across giraffes

Image

and enjoyed the view from our favourite look out along the Mphongololo as same is normally always carrying water

Image

where we do always stop and today we again were rewarded as we spotted there an African cuckoo

Image

indeed a more than nice surprise as we do see that bird not that often and this one got busy in catching some sort of caterpillars.

Image

Image

For sure hippos were also present in that pond as well as grey herons farer away

Image

further during our drive the riverbed got emptier and emptier with nearly no water flowing nevertheless we discovered quite a lot of different zebras

Image

in the dry riverbed.

Image

to be continued………………
