Made my final payment for our visit in March. On the additional info it clearly states that this
cycle thing is going to happen in September and that stretches of roads from Twee Rivieren
will be closed for the morning on the determined dates (forgot when exactly). Visitors are
advised about alternative routes if they need to get up north.

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.
Re: Riverbed cycle challenge in Kgalagadi
Just phoned Sanparks reservations and asked them about the bicycle race in the Kgalagadi, was then instructed to phone twee rivieren direct. Did that and was informed that there is no such a race in September and the lady started to laugh at the suggestion.
I informed her about the video and that the hounary rangers will be holding it and was told that she knows nothing about it. I think a lot of people are in for a terrible surprise over September if this goes ahead as there is no info on the booking form or on the Kgalagadi info page.

This is just
But then again - I'm not surprise. The people working in the park seem the last ones
to find out about stuff like that. And if they do, it's mostly because of us visitors
keeping them in the loop.

I feel the same Mel, this has become a business with incorporating
unions and all that stuff. Almost ready for the stock exchange kinda
S===.
There is that famous old saying, "when money and success walk through
the front door, love departs through the back door"!!
Quite significant and applicable here!!

Just got back from 3 weeks in the KTP… and although none of the rangers I spoke to knew for sure… the consensus is they’ve heard the Kalahari event has been cancelled… and ‘moved’ somewhere else.
