Love the hippo with the jacket.
Your birdie looks like a Red-billed Firefinch.
Re: Kruger....Our adventure continues.....
Great couple of posts Harrys.
Your birdie under the bridge is a Wood Sandpiper.
The Korhaan is Red-crested and I agree with Flutts on the firefinch.
Love the plated lizard pic and the baboon/impala scene looks so tranquil.
-O at the hippo's new coat.

Re: Kruger....Our adventure continues.....
Missed a few posts here Harry. Nice to catch up though.
Nice views of the Olifants and love the one with the kite soaring by.
The 3 musketeers is great. -O
Think your last pic of a Tawny Eagle is a Steppe Eagle - yellow gape extends behind the eye.
Great sighting.
Can't wait to find out what you saw at Shingwedzi.

Re: Kruger....Our adventure continues.....
Shingwedzi 5 Dec to 8 Dec 2012....:
After a not so peacefull nights sleep(we had 3 young men next to us who played some games and giggled like little girls till 2 in the morning
, they went to sleep after I explained to them what I will do to them if they don't shut up and be quiet..... oh I had my ax with me
)we packed up and left at 6:00 heading for Shingwedzi.
Here is some photos:
Sunrise:

This Elephant didn't like the Buffaloes intruding on his waterhole
:

Buffaloes and Warthog coming for a drink after the grumpy Ellie left in a dust cloud:

And what are you up to sir
:

Bookworm arriving at Shingwedzi in Miss Denty
:

Setting up camp.......that's when the fun started and Dad was not allowed to help pitching the tent
Tatarukas thoughts....where does this go:

After lots of sweat and some mumbling and offcourse some help from Dad the tent(and Bookworm and Tatarukas home for 4 nights)was pitched and ready to be occupied:

After setting up camp and having a
or 2 we went for a swim
and relaxed till 15:00 and then our late afternoon trip on the Kanniedood road............
To be continued.......
