Waterholes closed down

Post by Mel »

On the Nossob side the following waterholes have been put out of service for good:

Dikbaardskolk, Langklaas and Geinab

On the Aoub side:

Urikaruus (the one outside the camp)

This is a serious post though, RP ^0^

Urikaruus and Geinab is good for people staying at the Uri and Grootkolk camp respectively as more critters will pass through there.
But Geinab also means not waterhole for almost 30 km for those who can't stay at Grootkolk.

Dikbaardskolk also means no waterhole on a stretch of almost 30 km.

Langklaas... is 13 km from the next on south and 4 km from the next one north (Kousant).
Kousant is 8 km from the next. Theoretically I would have chosen Kousant to be closed,
but I supposed in KTP it's not a question of distributing waterholes equally but a matter of
water available. At least in some cases. ;-)

Update here:

All waterholes were working except for Langklaas which had just been re-opened 18 to 24 months ago.
Not sure what the issue is there but you weren't even allowed to drive in anymore.
