As promised, some of my latest pictures from Marievale.

Since I last posted on AW I have had a really bad case of GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) and have spent way too much of my hard-earned income on new equipment.

As a result I am now the owner of a new Nikon D500 and a Nikon 200-500mm lens. This is a superb combination, the lens is pin sharp and the camera has the same focusing and metering system as the top of the range Nikon D5 and shoots at 10 frames per second for up to 20 seconds (depending on the memory card)!

My first outing with the new Camera was to Marievale on 10 September, here are some pictures...

Thanks PR.

I try to get there once a month but it doesn't always work out that way. It's about an hour from my place and it's best to get there around dawn to make the most of it, so it's a really early start for me!

I will PM you when I go in the new year.

Meanwhile, I'm going to ignore the ReProbate and just post some more pictures.

My second visit to Marievale with the new toys on 15 October.
