Thanks Amoli, even Dewi wasn't sure about the Sandpiper.Amoli wrote:
BluTuna - it might just be a pectorial sandpiper. There was a sighting this week posted on the FB page of Marievale.
There are a couple of photographers going out on Saturday (28 nov) from 5 to 5 (day visit) should you and PRWin be interested.organised by Harvey Grohmann.
(I am attending my granddaughter 21st.)
I will (weather permitting) be at Lake Panic on Sunday morning

Thanks again everyone for your comments - they are much appreciated.
On 24 October I managed to go back to sleep after my alarm went off so I got to Marievale much later than usual. Hence, not so many pictures but there were some good opportunities.
African Snipe.

Little Stint? (not too sure about this ID).

Squacco Heron.

Goliath Heron.

Juvenile Fish Eagle.

A pair of Great Crested Grebes.

Intermediate/Yellowbilled Egret?? Not sure about this ID either.

Ruff.

And an angry Greyheaded Gull who objected to me being out of my car!

Thanks Lis
So a Yellowbilled Egret is the same as an Intermediate Egret?
