I am sure this is from the plover family but which one? I am unable to find a plover with the distinctive white back of neck and throat. Another first.
White-throated swallow just taken off.

Could this be the common redshank? He has the orange-red base to both the lower and upper mandible but does not seem to have red legs. Another first for me.
Safe landing for a white-throated swallow. I must have spent a good hour and half trying to get these photos of this swallow landing or flying.
This yellow-billed duck was having great fun splashing around in the water.
I cannot seem to find this duck in my book with the distinctive white marking running back from the eye and also the white border to the beak. Could it be a garganey? Another first.
