Yes Make a booking at Gabs and arrive with your COMPLETE camping equipment ..There are NO facilities so you have to be self sufficient ..You dont need a passport as long as you leave through Twee Rivieren again ..If you are booked in at Twee Rivieren you are NOT allowed to go and gawk at Rooiputs ..Do the right thing and book and stay ..Thats what makes it special just like Tsendze in Kruger ,,'RESERVED FOR BOOKED GUESTS ONLY '

The Male Coalition always hunted in very late afternoon and often targeted the small herd of about 50 Springbok that had the completely unfenced area of the camp as their home and so it was no surprise that we often picked these 2 fine males up as we drove up the hill to our Skipper Trailer. Here one of the Cheetah watching his coalition partner getting close to the now alert Springbok

Another Group in the area and very active was a mother and her 2 sub Adult female cheetah who she was teaching how to hunt so we witnessed a few sad and gory scenes where mother caught say a Steenbok and let the cubs try and kill it ..Those screams will haunt me forever but thats how nature works

Here is one of the 2 youngsters at full speed chasing its sibling in a game of tag and figure of 8's around my stationary Bakkie at sunrise ..They can RUN!!!!

We had a few big storms at night late in April which resulted in quite a bit of rare surface water in this arid part of the country..Lovely light after the rain taken at sunrise ..Mother and her 2 youngsters ..quite a handful
