This is a bit of a subjective topic, but may titillate viewers' interests regarding "surprise" sightings over the decades?! ;-)

The animals in question are, for a start:

Sable
Roan
Eland
Tsessebe
Liechtenstein's Hartebeest
Nyala
Black Rhino
White Rhino
Leopard
Wild dog
Cheetah
Reedbuck
Sharpes' Grysbok

The smaller rare animals like Serval, for example, are rare wherever one sees them. Also, rhino reports do not apply here as being preducicial, rather a general approach over a long period... -O-

Photos are not required at all, and whether deciding that a location is unusual is up to you, timeline included, and will not be argued about! -O

For example, I saw a female eland at Welverdiend Waterhole on the S-126 south of Orpen last century...!

Not at all, and this is where the decades come in! Over the last decade, Wild dog have been regularly sighted over the entire Southern District...well, always there! ;-)

Decades ago they were common around Phalaborwa and Punda Maria too! Which is no longer the case, decades-speaking.

Now a pack around Phalaborwa, and a decade of dogs around Satara-Orpen, with a decade of nothing there before that!

So this is a bit for the history buffs regarding wild dog.
