Hi guys, I was looking for some pics of animals from Kruger for my computer and happened to stumble along a website that had all the animal censuses in Kruger on it. After reading it I realised how much all the animal numbers have changed, and not just rhinos, ellies, lions and all the other endangered animals but even impala!

Those figures don't make sense to me at all????

Elephant numbers according to this are down?? Why would there then be talk of culling??

Black Rhino remained the same?? When was this census carried out, if ever??

Buffalo increased, even with TB taking it's toll??

SANParks do publish the animal numbers in the annual reports and there is also stated when the last census was done!

Link to 2012 Report (KNP on page 18), 2013 does not have these figures -O-

If you have a look, most of the "census" data are from 2010 -O-
