\O \O Research =O: =O: =O:

I have fished since I could walk and have done plenty research fishing for mercury, etc but would never dream of fishing in KNP and only a few are required to conduct any tests required.

HR’s and SANParks, please post what your research is about, besides making money from the idiots prepared to pay this kind of money to “fish” in KNP.

As you say, BC, the details are a bit sketchy scientifically, which is not good at all! Angling clubs abound hereabouts...maybe that should be the way to go professionally? -O-

Money will be raised, and a party will be held, and an HR has taken some initiative...no problem with that, but not politically correct? -O-

RP, I would love to know what species they are targeting, what “natural” bait they are using and what they are trying to achieve with this “research”. I laugh at the “release” part also as fish species in KNP aren’t exactly considered “fine dining” This is only thrown in to con the ignorant and it’s a weak attempt to justify what they are doing.

This should be in a topic where more read :-?

I agree BC, but I didn't know where to post it. 0*\ I will try and get more info regarding this "fishing trip". I am trying to get out of going with, but maybe I should reconsider and go as a spy. O**

=O: This one will be free for me as well, business deal. But, I have already told them that I'm not interested in this crap! \O

The only reason that my boss considered joining was that our biggest opposition from JHB have entered. Now, where do I draw the line???? A great free weekend in the bush, no tourists in sight, or stick to my principles. :-?

Lets see what happens BC, but I would prefer not to be involved. I don't even like fishing, so thats two negatives already. O/

They won't be too happy when I cut their lines. O**

We {in this little country of ours} did not learn. If you do something wrong don't try to bent it right with a another lie.
How and why do you do research with a fishing day?
- determine the pollution in the rivers, its already confirm when the croc's died;
- size and quantities, once a year with different bait and skills.
- Who off which institution coordinate this research?
- Catch and release when tiger fish 25% of the time died when caught due to wrong handling and exhaustion.
etc....etc..
If I got money then I' am a researcher ... =O: =O: =O: =O: =O: =O:
