And - is this a Marsh Sand piper or a Common Greenshank juv. I though the Greenshank had a up-tilted beak

Had a look at it - with mark over the eye - you could be right...

It has greenish legs, the wood sandpiper has yellow ones, but it might be the light

The juvenile's legs are more greenish The marsh sandpiper has a thinner bill. I agree with Toko - wood sandpiper

I think Amoli is right, juvenile black-crowned night-heron. It has a lot of stripes though and the eye looks yellow

The Black-crwoned should have a red eye and and more streaky stripes
