Please give me a date, it is important to know. This tree starts producing flower buds.
... and do the latex test.

Flowers should be present by now. Go back and check now and then again in August to see the beautiful fruits
Meanwhile we have to identify the beautiful small tree without flowers and fruits which can be done looking carefully at the leaves and their arrangement - you have captured these characters very well this time
- The leaves are simple and clustered
- The clusters are on the branches and on short side branches (not at the end of branches), clusters not opposite
- Leaves 3-veined from the base or just above
- Leaves are not attached by an obvious leaf stalk = petiole very short
- No spines
- Flowers grow in clusters of 1 to 4 from on short stalks from the leaf axils (or on old wood) only after good rains (Nov - Dec)
Hint: Baboons and nyala love the large and showy fruits (also monkeys - this is another clue). The fruit is also collected to make curios from dried smooth and woody shells of the large fruit.

Also in the Marloth spruit:
Medium shrub, with large berries!
Yes, I know it's blurred, but I think the berries are gone, will go and look again!
Got unblurred pics of the berries!
Found flowers on this tree on 2 October!
