God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

You got a lot of little monsters on the first day

Hi SM! Thanks!Super Mongoose wrote:More stunning bugs BT! Love "violet" dungy! And the young fish eagle is just beautiful! Always nive to see the Ellies play in the water!
I think the dungy is a Large Copper Dung Beetle. https://africawild-forum.com/viewtopic.p ... 82#p142608

Glad you also rebel against the new bird names!![]()

The dung beetles are not as frightening as the rest!
I think Dung Beetles could be pretty scary - imagine one hitting you in the face while you are riding a motorbike, or one landing in your dinner!

Love the juvenile fish eagle and obviously your attention to detail on the insects once again.
Particularly the violet shimmering dung beetle.![]()
But the lourie is fantastic as well - and I see why you don't wanna use the new official name.
Go-away-bird? Gimme a break.
Glad you are enjoying my TT!

Day 1, Saturday 16 November 2013. Ngwenya Lodge, Morning Drive continued.
At the Lower Sabie Bridge a Hippo was taking a siesta.

A Diederik Cuckoo was at Sunset Dam along with a juvenile and adult Jacana, a Hippo and what looks like a female weaver of some sort.

Then it was back to Ngwenya for my siesta and some more little monsters...
