Sorry to hear about the blue swallows though.

Hopefully they will return next year.
Hope so too Mel

Sad about the swallow Lis. Would love to see one
I want to finsih this report before Friday so here goes. The next morning we were at the Taita site at 7.00am - it is about an hours drive from Graskop. We saw the red winged starlings, alpine swifts, cape vultures. We hung around for an hour than decided to go to
Mariepskop Nature Reserve.
Some of the birds we got long the way and in Mariepskop.
Yellow Crowned Bishop
Yellow Bishop
Kurrichane Thrush
Brown Hooded Kingfisher
Dusky Indigo Bird
Steppe Buzzard
Lesser Masked Weaver
The main reason for visiting Mariepskop was to find the
Orange Ground Thrush. We did bushpig trail but no luck. Mariepskop is a lot like Marakele. A very narrow steep drive to the top where you are greeted by spectacular scenery over the canyon
Two more installments, both very nice sightings

Beautiful views! (And birds, of course

Don't think, we need to ask why you want to finish before Friday...
Found the answer elsewhere.
