Sirheni Camp offers only cottages spread out in a long line along the bank of the Mphongolo River with a view of Sirheni Dam.
The cottages are fully equipped with modern facilities for self-catering (but no freezers in the huts). There is only solar electricity in the camp and there are no plugs in the units. The reception office has 240-volt power and guests can charge batteries there. There is a communal freezer next to the camp entrance.
Sirheni is named after the local word meaning 'the grave'. This camp is named thus in memory of an Elephant that died of anthrax and was buried nearby in 1959.

• Cottage (CO4): 1 bedroom with 2 single beds - 2 bench beds in lounge - Fan - Gas stove (no oven) - Kitchen - Wc, Shower over bath

From the fence:
It is a lovely camp, but beware the heat, as there aren't aircons, and a dodgy power supply!
What to look for:
Nyala Tree (
Xanthocercis zambesiaca )
Elephant
Verreaux's Eagle Owl
