Rooibosrandt is in red but agree ExFmem and my view is also just a layperson's view. The dam was a major attraction for the area. We have not returned to Bateleur since Decmeber 2010. Time will tell if this is the right decision.

Agreed. We certainly won't be going there anymore as well.

One little aside is that the proposed road from Shangoni Gate will presumably join the S-52 somewhere nere there?

Accessible like in the "old" days when you could drive (almost) the length of the dam, or just accessible to a car or 2 to sit far back from the water? I know that's not exactly clear, but if you are familiar with how it used to be, you'll know what I'm trying to ascertain. Thanks!

Not like the old days, ExFmem, only the small spot for 2 or 4 cars and you need a bino to ID a Jacana at the water's edge -O
