They were high up on the hillside on the right of the southern access road, just before you reach the southern turn to Harveys when travelling north. I only spotted them due to zebra looking persistently in their direction - it's great when other animals help with spottingMel wrote:Where about did you find them?PJL wrote: Roy & Nomad were hiding miles away on a hillside, but their presence was given away by the watching herds of zebra, hartebeest & eland

Re: Addo Outings
Whew, just caught up now. Very interesting. You have certainly had some great sightings in Addo.
Lets hope they leave the cheetah alone. Is Addo cheetah terrain?
The baby jackal is just so beautiful.

Re: Addo Outings
Addo isn't really cheetah terrain STF, but they seem to be doing very well for themselves. There are some open sections where they can get up speed... I wish they would let them stay!
The latest I have heard is that there were 2 cheetah in the park and 1 being kept in a boma after being caught. They decided to fit a tracker to him and release him so that he could help locate the other 2, but as yet they are staying far apart
Some lucky visitors got to see the lone cheetah make a kill up near Carols Rest last week
Some other great news is that the cubs have been seen again for the first time in about a month. I was starting to get worried that they had been killed, but thankfully they're doing fine and getting much bigger.

Re: Addo Outings
PJL, did you see that one of the male lions visited Addo Camp waterhole on the 24/12/2014?
