Progress has been slow:

But we are near the end.
I have had to make a change to the design. The original plan needed more bricks and I don't have the energy to go through sourcing more of the same again.
But it will still be awesome.

Why the piece of "wood"? Maybe to keep in place the new black bricks until the cement has dried

Yup. It's a wooden frame around which he built the sloping bits. Will hopefully slide out when the cement is dry.

So in preparation for my first braai this weekend...
Went to the off licence (our version of a café - that is allowed to sell alcohol) around the corner from work
They had quite an extensive range of wine, and quite a few from SA. But 95% had screw on caps
Eventually found one hidden behind some others which has a cork - a Boschendal.

Hard to find anything with a cork here now...normally the really expensive stuff!

Flutterby , lots of white wines have screw cape , not so much with reds
Dzombo , looking good ,and Boschendal is excellent
Will go well together . Enjoy
