Re: Alaska - a trip to remember
Thank you guys , nice to know I'm still getting support here
Lisbeth - sorry , no mounty , but at least the customs guy wore a uniform
RP - It's a long long way to go
Mel - I agree . Had a bit of a scare a couple of days earlier when sightseeing around Dawson , and almost got stuck in a snow-drift , and miles from anywhere
Pooky , after all , it is the Land of Midnight sun
Prwin - thank you
Guys please be patient with the next lot of pics - I'm having a bit of problem with downloading

Sharifa -- No Mountie
Anyway , they only where that " dress-uniform " for special occasions
Now , unfortunately , since yesterday , I have been unable to post any pics , and I'm being " kicked" out everytime a p[ost a pic , with a message telling me I am forbidden to post on this forum . Obviously something has gone wrong somewhere , and despite me trying everything I can , it keeps on doing it , and I just do not know what to do anymore
So , for the time being at least , this TT has ground to a halt
Sorry

Re: Alaska - a trip to remember
Thanks to Toko , the problem was sorted out
We try again
And on the other side – USA .
Very sparsely populated place this
Hmmmm....... On Saturday nights this place must really be humming ......

And this picture was taken for us by the very friendly USA customs officer - he makes up for one half of the population of course – we did not meet the other half , otherwise the place probably have become really crowded .

Some distances still to go ?

And this is Boundry – Alaska . It consists of a gift-shop which you see here

A guest-lodge

And if you need to go ........

When we arrived at Boundry , these two guys were skinning a female brown bear .

Apparently it had been killing Cariboo , so they went hunting it and shot it last yesterday about 11.00 pm .
Quite big ??????

Re: Alaska - a trip to remember
Toko resolved the problem.
Thanks to that we can proceed with the journey.
about the sign at the bathroom!
Same goes for the somewhat different names for their huuuuge settlements.
But why is a brown bear killed because it killed a caribou?
Isn't that part of nature's circle...
