She is about to give birth?

They give birth very privately. She is obviously pregnant. Two male lion were also in the road a little way away!

Maybe she did not have the strength to hide? Do animals have premature births?

Ja, many "first-timers" have a problem, as with humans! :wink:

Not so much with the ungulates...they are a production line! :shock:
