The little grey bird was looking for food near/under the base of a tree - don't know if that would help. -O-

I'd stick with Doug's ID as he is far more experienced than I am with your birds. \O

We could do with Doug's experience here and a few other SA birders as well. They could help out far better than I can with some of the trickier species. \O
