Thanks all

It was very interesting -- and entertaining -- to watch the heron hunting amongst the rocks

The area is also a surfing spot, so there's quite some variety of entertainment along the Kommetjie coastal boardwalk

Can anyone help with an ID for this rat -- definitely larger than a mouse :) . Seen at MZNP in July 2015.

Karoo bush rat has also been suggested and doing a bit of sleuthing, it looks like Brandt's whistling rat may also occur in MZNP

So from no idea to a multitude of possible choices!

I thought this was a Duiker, then maybe a Klipspringer, but when compared to my other pics of those 2 antelopes, "something" seems off. Help please.

Don't agree. That dark marking is too low for a klipspringer. I'd stay with the duiker.

as per the horns I would say Duiker
