If there are hairs on the end of the tail it's a Brush-tailed Hairy-footed Gerbil. If not, it's a bushveld Gerbil. (I think =O: ).

Hairy-footed gerbil, Pigmy gerbil Gerbillurus paeba
Bushy-tailed hairy-footed gerbil gerbil Gerbillurus vallinus
Bushveld gerbil Tatera leucogaster
Highveld gerbil Tatera brantsii

Hairy Footed Gerbil - NOT, because: "The underparts are always white and the tail is the same colour as the upper body parts."
