Hi guys!
I just realized that I never posted a trip report for our trip to the Northern Cape and KZN in 2012. I meant to and it just never happened.
It's an old one but I get to relive the most amazing trip that made me fall in love with the Northern Cape.
Now to get this one going... Off to dropbox to collect some photo's and memories...
Going to the Northern Cape slowly - the complete story.

2012 or not - on board.
God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

I never wanted to hear a word about going to Augrabies much less KTP. It took a lot of convincing.
Our first overnight stop was at Red Sands Lodge, just ourside Kuruman. Easy to find - just look for the windmill on the hilltop. It's not a windmill, it's a cellphone tower and the lodge is just under that.
Open spaces...miles of it...
And a Pienk Padstal:
Loud water - this one came with a story to tell...
Kgalagadi did its first magic after barely an hour inside the park:
I set foot on Namibian soil:
Got my wish to see cheetah run even though I didn't appreciate the results!
Appreciated the mountains of Golden Gate:
And tried out Ezemvelo for the first time - interesting one that...

We saw 5 of them. 2 On the Aoab side above 13de Boorgat, 2 youngsters with an adult close to Rooiputs and the 2 monsters at Rooiputs which may have been the same 2 youngsters, we're not sure.Mel wrote:

Being in KTP during lambing season does increase your chances of seeing them.

Hi Santie,
Thanks for sharing and digging into the drop boxes. I've open your website and found a pic of Das Rollende Hotel under your Kruger park visit in 2010. We saw this mobile hotel in Etosha in 2004 and quite amazing to see the sleeping arrangement. So what can one say the hotel was in Kruger already.
