Just caught up and finished reading this amazing travel tale. So many lions and the wild dogs were incredible. Loved the bird sightings too. Thanks for some lovely entertainment on this cold wet Cape winter afternoon.

Last hours are always sad hours and gladly that our last camp are either Shingwedzi, Bateleur or Mopani so the last drive can be stretched a bit longer

Great that you still could find rhinos and hyaenas

I also hate that drive to the gate Pumbaa...but there's always another trip to look forward to.

Sorry I haven't been around...just popping in quickly before I get back to studying! I see mom has already finished, so I'll just post some more of my pics. You heard how desperate I was to find wild dogs (my favourite animals), so you can imagine how happy I was with this sighting!!



It was amazing to see all the excitement, submissive and dominate behaviour amongst them!









Such intensity!!

Ironically one of the rarest things you can see in Africa is a doggie with a black tail tip. Rarer than white lion etc...

There was a female pack leader as such in Kruger a long time ago!

Amoli, we only saw doggies once...the Brat's pics are of the same sighting.

Funny you should say that RP. While watching the dogs we were discussing their marking and I said they always have white tail tips, then we noticed these two!

I think those tails are just a bit defective...dogs, you know!

It needs to be a full healthy tail!
