One of my fav waterholes too. Some might remember the sightings we had there from my last KTP trip report, but just to refresh let me repeat a few again:

My most memorable moment was that of a eland calf that drank and walked right into the direction of a lion on the dune. Poor thing did not know where to go. That happened in 2007 so I will browse through some old pics and see if I can find it.

Cheetah family with kill a few meters north of Kij-Kij under this first large tree on the west side of the river (Nov 2011):

I found my old pics of the eland at Kij-Kij (July 2007). It was also one of those years that the eland migrated to KTP from Botswana only to die after drinking too much or too salty water.

Not sure if this was the same eland as above, but sadly the next day we found marks on the road of a huge struggle and the remains on which BBL were feasting a few 100 meters from Kij-Kij.
