Rufous-naped Lark
Great sightings for a short trip, Flutterby. And interesting birding there

Thanks for popping in Klipspringer.

I'm only realising now how many new birds I saw!!
So do you agree with Lis that it's a Short-clawed Lark?

Although I'm not sure the Short-clawed Lark is found in the Pilanesberg.

I also prefer staying over but we couldn't this time, and I was exhausted when I got home....I drove for 12 hours!
That's a lot of driving for 1 day

How nice to be able to do such a trip once in a while
Good sightings too, considering you only had a certain amount of time in the park.
Lots of birds

We were very happy with that sighting....and amazing that we were the only car there considering we were so close the the gate!

That includes the 4 hour driving time to get there and back.

We are lucky that we can do day trips there, but it is still a long way just for one day.
