BACK HOME TO KENYA - TWO WEEKS OF PURE BLISS AND WILDEBEESTS
Posted: Tue Jun 24, 2014 9:52 pm
Had typed it all out but we have an enormous thunderstorm here at moment and power went off before I could do anything.
After four years we have finally got it all together and our departure for Kenya is set for the evening of the 17th of July.
Flight going through Addis Abeba and then to Mombasa along the Kenya coast. For the first week will be staying at the sisters place along Diani Beach (South Coast) and well away from all the troubled area. Very well guarded and secure part of the coast and ready to get rid of all the stress accumulated along.
Good company, good food, beach, photography and anything else that comes along our way.
Looking forwards to meeting up with some old friends living in the area and generally having a good holiday with family.
On 23rd departure with direct flight for the Maasai Mara Game Reserve and 3 nights/4 days entirely dedicated to wildlife and following the Great Wildebeest Migration, it has already started and we will be passing days on end following the enormous herds and predators.
Will be staying in an exclusive, only 11 tents!, all inclusive luxury tented camp (http://www.olumara.com) and plans are to stay out in the park for as long as possible.
Flight back to the coast on the 26th and last days relaxing, just to get the dirt and dust off us!, with my sister and family.
Flight back home on the 31st July and back to work the next day.
Got most it all together and organised:
Passports, air tickets, camera equipment, costume, t/shirt and wallet. Need anything else??
Will be posting as I go along and hope to be able to do the same while in Maasai Mara.
Thats it for today
