Ever dreamed of going on an elephant trophy hunt in Africa? Thanks to an ongoing raffle, $100 and a plane ride can get you there.

A school in Namibia recently purchased a trophy elephant hunt from Jamy Traut for a fundraising raffle. Entries for the hunt are only $100.

The prize includes transport from Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek, Namibia; 10 days accommodation; all meals and non-alcoholic drinks; permit fees; rifle use; PH, tracker and vehicle; field preparation of trophy.

Entries must be submitted by Aug. 31, 2014. The drawing for the hunt will take place on Sept. 8, 2014, a legal practitioner.

The hunt, presented by Gobabis Gymnasium, located in Gobabis, Namibia, is scheduled to take place in November 2014.

If that is true then they are effectively teaching kids that wildlife is a consumable resource which can be used in any way they like so long as it benefits them. (0!) (0!)

I did a bit of searching to try and find the school... this appears to be their website (the emblem matches that on the propaganda):
http://www.gobabisgymnasium.com/Gobabis ... /home.html

And I have sent them an email (gymna@iway.na) to try and find out whether the raffle is legitimately associated with their school... we'll see what they have to say. -O-

The first came to my mind exactly like that as well... (0!)

And there is nothing in their goals that makes me want to believe that they strive to teach their students in a way that the respect for their environment is partial to the education. I just don't expect that
We strive to prepare our children, academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
necessarily means taking care of your heritage as well.

But I'm being very pessimistic here... Hopefully just pessimist...

I have also emailed the school. I did not receive a response but I woke up this morning and Tactical Life magazine appears to have removed the advertisment for this raffle. I started a petition on change.org and listed the email address on the advertisment so they have received over 800 emails in 2 days. I was able to find the address, phone #, headmaster name etc for the school. My petition is still going and is not the only one. I have also contacted news sources.
