Many thanks Toko for identifying unknown butterflies – your expertise may be required again. ;-) Dewi I’m pleased you know a special part of a wonderful country. I’ve never lived there myself but through my father, his upbringing in Gwynedd and my transient childhood a house by the river just a few miles from Caernarfon is a place I regard as home. STF in the same town there is the terminus of a narrow gauge railway that may be of some interest. More information here: http://www.festrail.co.uk/

My travels resume after my short stopover and after another 3922 miles the family and I arrive in Sydney, Australia. I’m now 10573 miles from home. I’ll need to shorten the distance to get to my final destination but first I’ll stop here a while. I have always wanted to visit Sydney Botanical Gardens – I am a keen gardener as well as a wildlife fanatic. Before we start with a few Australian birds from SBG here is a success that greeted me on my arrival home. First time I have grown it and it makes me think of KNP. Note to self: Start exploring options to return to SA this November/December!
