"Kyk die Leeus Oom Dewi." ("Look at the Lions Uncle Dewi.") Chirped little Janie, 2 the week before, and Karla, 5 the day before.
We had arrived in Punda the previous evening and this was our first drive in the park. We had only been out 10 minutes from the gate, seen an Elephant, some Impala and a Dickinson's Kestrel, before we noticed two cars pulled over on the start of the Mahonie loop. We pulled over and tried to see what they were watching. Eventually, the two cars manouvred over and said that there were Lions behind the bushes. We sat and waited........
