On Friday afternoon I did my regular chill session down at the river. At first there wasn't much activity, until Mono made his presence.

Mono is a regular visitor to the river properties, you'll soon see where he got his name from...

He arrived on the opposite side of the river, in the beautiful setting sun and immediately went for a drink...

He then moved a bit to a spot with good feeding, unfortunately now in the shade...

It was now time for him to cross and pay a visit to Grietjie, moving directly towards me...

Once on dry Grietjie ground, he proceeded to move away along the river...

Last night while I was busy with the braai, I heard scuffling sounds...I grabbed my spotlight and saw it, bu before I could get the camera, it gave me the slip.

A short while later, I heard it again, but now I was armed with my camera. Spotlight on, and there it was...a Civet!! ^Q^
