this was a „quiet“ day to enjoy the smaller things and it had another highlight in store for me.

first a hungry crimson-breasted shrike

then the bateleurs were around – first at Cheleka

and at Kaspersdraai

the moon was getting fuller

at Nossob we stayed at 9a

and were visited by a rock martin



and a drongo

we watched the usual gecko on the wall when we realised that there were two and soon the show started – another first – mating geckos











when we heard the howling jackals we went to the hide right away but there was nothing to be seen.
