28.09.2014 Nossob

this was the last morning in Grootkolk

as we had hardly any petrol left, we did not go on a morning drive but all animals came to say bye bye to us anyway

On the way to Nossob we saw a white-backed vulture at Kannaguass



and a cape cobra at Lijersdraai waterhole

at the picnic site the mice were very tame

[Tina]

then another cobra crossed the road



we did not see anything else until Polentswa







only back home we found out that at about the same time ExFmem must have been watching the cheetah at Kousant (for those not that familiar with KTP – this is the next waterhole, about 8 kms from Polentswa). Well, you can‘t have it all. We saw lovely wildebeests and springboks.

28.09.2014 - continued

We were really worried now as the petrol light had gone on a while ago already and we stiil had about 60 kms to Nossob. Thus, we only stopped for some BEFs.



First stop at Nossob was the petrol station –we had arrived with three liters of petrol left.

This time chalet 10 c was allocated to us which is very nice.

I thought, that spring was in the air again but right now I‘m not sure what they were doing?

they were watched by a dragonfly

and found something to eat –not supplied by us



a Burchell’s starling and a groundscraper thrush were around as well
