We missed the badger (not sure if it was that particular night or later) because we were eating and I couldn't see the waterhole
due the vertical pole of the fencing.

Still gutted!

That pole is really one of the downsides of the waterhole being
closer to the units, IMO. There are just certain situations when you can't keep craning your neck for the action at the water.
(But I agree with you on the proximity and its positive affect on the photos

)

Never... because it's us visitors who provide them... made out of empty water canisters, meat boxes and stuff.
I thought if funny (and cool!) to have a drongo coming down for a drink as well. They never visited any of my bird baths before.
