A Ruddy Turnstone on a wall close to the sea
Sardines just fished on the pier almost ready to be fried for dinner (Unfortunately they did not invite us

)

During a lovely walk at the outskirts of the Rio Formosa Natural Reserve...
Black-winged Stilts
A cormorant on his own
A group of "who knows what"

(Little stints

)
An UFO
A common Whrimbrel out for a walk
Oysters for the Christmas Dinner? we were not invited here either, but he did ask if we wanted to buy them
and last but not least a beautiful little egret
A Merry Christmas

Great birdies there Lis. And you could have had fresh oysters for dinner.
The ufo is one of the larks. Will have a closer look.
One of the waders looks like a sanderling? Bot enough detail in the pic though.
Great pics of the birdlife on your walk though.

There were others too, but too far away and I do not have the right camera for birding
