Mandatory Stop at Samevloeeing and drive to the Auob river.
What a joy to discover the valley after a few km across the arid plateau. Everything is dry, but already a few trees and a river draft ... I'm in heaven O/\

A Black-chested Snake Eagle is flying high in the sky ... a snake in the talon.
Then again I get to meet Suricates and Lions.
A group of Lions with a baby, only one... it's strange. They killed an Oryx which is still "lying" in the sun, its tail a few meters :-?

At Dalkeith, short stop at the waterhole, there are already three cars, I go my way and wow wow, find myself alongside a beautiful Cheetah ... 2 meters between us.
I follow him about fifteen minutes, he lay down, in the shade of a large tree. Meanwhile a car joined me and pass before me ... the Cheetah gets up and crosses the valley from East to West.
We both have the same idea ... the top road is just behind ..0..
We arrive, he has already crossed the road and continue towards the dunes, so I have always seen only his right profile 0*\
Beautiful male.
Comparing our data base, I think it's Nico that I had seen sleeping the last time.

And I get to KTC, the tent is well placed nobody to my left, a large tree below and a beautiful view of the waterhole. Unfortunately, no view for the sunset. In the evening I realize that the Springboks go back of the valley, along my terrace and they spend the night on the hot road of camp. There are full of eyes around me ... beautiful \O

The room has 4 beds that will help me to avoid to be lying face down (à plat ventre)... to look for something in my luggage O-/

The waterhole is really busy, Ostriches, Antelopes of all kinds are scrambling at the "bar".
The terrace is much smaller than that of No. 1.
I put the plates and other cups for the birds, immediately stormed by White-browed Sparrow-Weaver and the Cape Crows will not be made to wait either. Three of them, ever more brazen, but I know them well. They do not get me again :X: I try to chase them with the towel from the kitchen, nothing, with the hand almost touching them, nothing ... Finally I throw a small pebble that makes them flee, all the three ... the stone will return ... few minutes later and I am sure it is one of the Crows who returned it to me.

The early mornings were very difficult ... with 7 ° is almost impossible to get out of bed ... I watch the antelopes who wake up too, while I warm my clothes nearby me ... into the bed =O:
Tonight, I can't make fire, it is too dangerous, there is a wind that can dehorn Buffaloes O-/

17.10.2014

11 ° this morning ... "the fricasse" ... great cold
I would like to return to the Lions ... to see what they did during the night. En route I find BEF, a Martial Eagle, a Fiscal Shrike, Gabar Goshawk.
