I think it is too late. Something has started to move; there is a far greater understanding of the environment than 10 or only five years ago, but until the governments do no start to say NO to dangerous moneymaking developments, the destruction is only delayed

Our beaches are shrinking, not because the water erodes, but because too much sand has been taken from the bottom of the sea in order to construct idiotic "the tallest building in the world" and eccentric palm shaped islands for millionaires in the sea etc.

It is of course, International Vulture Awareness Day.

But as Lis also says, it's not just the loss of vultures that we should be aware of.
