Africa Wild Forum Rules
Posted: Tue Apr 14, 2015 2:15 pm
At Africa Wild we encourage freedom of speech, thought and expression. This is a 'family' forum where we encourage everyone to express their opinions in a friendly and open way. Please honour the freedom of speech found on the Africa Wild forum by posting in a responsible manner.
Africa Wild is not a pre-moderated forum and our policy is to keep moderation to a minimum and let the debate flow. However, we do have a few forum rules which we expect our members to adhere to. If any of the following rules are transgressed the forum moderators will edit or delete posts as they see fit.
- No racist or discriminatory comments regarding gender, ethnicity or religion.
- No vulgarity or profanity.
- No insults or derogatory comments about any other AW member.
- No political discussions except where they are directly related to conservation.
- No religious discussions.
We rely on our members to let us know of any posts that break one of our very few rules above. The quickest way to let us know about a post that you think should be edited or deleted is to report it. You do this by clicking on the report link which is a red exclamation mark above and to the right of the post in question. We will have a look at every reported post as soon as possible.
It is not our policy to edit out profanities (we are all adults, after all) but we do draw the line at racist and obscene language and wording that is truly beyond bad taste. So, if you're not sure which side of that line your profanity of choice may fall, it might be best not to use it.
As we are a wildlife- and conservation-oriented forum, we ask that your posts be relevant to the forum. While we welcome our members' comments, off-topic posts will be removed or moved to a more suitable thread, which the moderators will inform you of.
