AW Posting Larger Images

Post by RogerFraser »

As you may know there is a limit on the size of images posted on the forums .This was decided and voted on by the members to aid those with slower internet and lower resolution browsers .We do however know that we have some really talented photographers that want to share their great photos with us .We have made a special modification code to allow for both these situations .It will show a small version on the forums but allow users with faster internet to click on the image to view a larger version in a new window. In the post bar above a new post there is a new code called popimg= to use this ideally the photographer will make a small less than 800px version and a full size version of their photo on the usual service .This is not totally necessary but if you use one large image url in both places in the code it may re-size differently to what you are expecting .To insert and use the code then :

Press popimg=

Enter the small url to image after the = sign
Enter the big url to the larger image between the ]Enter Here[

Submit .When you click on image it will appear in a new page.

For example your code will look like bellow
|popimg=http://i.imgur.com/dqgrZm1.jpg]http://i.imgur.com/tgJRigQ.jpg[/popimg|

It shows like this :(click image to see the larger one)

Thanks Roger. X#X

I've handed in my Marshall's badge and auto destruct delete key and am now happily retired from policing the photo posts. O/\ \O
