Hi there 0/* 0/*

As you know we will be going to KNP in August, what I want to know is wich route to take from Bela Bela to Punda Maria(we have to pick up Bookworm), Google maps has 2 suggestions, one is Bela Bela to Polokwane to Tzaneen to Giany and then Punda Maria, the other one is Bela Bela to Polokwane to Louis Trichard to Thoyandou and then Punda Maria -O- Wich one will be best and safest for a caravan -O-

Due to road conditions, Mountain passes the second option is without a doubt the best. \O

Harrys,

I have travelled the R81 from Polokwane straight to Punda Maria in March and it was fine. Just some road works at Giyani. Not sure how far they are there. I have done this in 5 hours from Punda Maria to Pretoria

Harry, have mailed you Prinsadam's details, he did Punda last week, via Thohoyandou, I think! \O

We normally take the turn-off north of Bandelierskop to Elim , then R578 , through to Malamulele and then Punda . It is a relatively quiet road , without any hold-ups . Last time travelled was in October 2014 , so things may have changed ?
