been playing a bit again.

Thinking of using the 20D and taking 90 frames

This is something I did not know :shock:

The milky way is visible the whole year, but the core can only be seen from around February till about end of November.

From about February till June the core can be seen in the lower east in the early hours of the mourning before sunrise.

From about July till August the core can be seen early evening in the east till early hours setting in the west.

from about September till November the core can be seen in the west early evening

From about November till January the core cannot be seen.

The interesting part it was shot at F4.5 at ISO of 500 for 30sec. It is a combination of 10 photo,s stacked using sequator from the original as seen below

Just returned from Dullstroom. Not realy dark sky ,but much better than buy us

10 photo at ISO6400, 10sec shutter at F2.8 for milky way combined in sequator
5 photo at 400 ,20sec for house, light painting, combined in PS with layers

Both combined in PS

combined in PS and lightroom
