Interlude:
TEBA Pafuri is the most brilliant spot...or was, as it is SanParks property now...
Immaculate lawns and indigenous garden around two old farmhouses, for want of a better term!
We were staying in the house in the background there!
To the left side of the house is the little path to the braai area where Destroyer dropped the Pyrex dish, and as you can see most of the blood has been cleaned off the walls!
Then there is this lovely 50 year-old pool, which is nice, because you can lounge around or in it and experience the local birdlife at a distance, and the local insect life up close and personal! The bees love attempting to nest in the filter hole, and sting you nonchalantly while they are busy drowning in the attempt. There is also a little red bug that bites the bejeezus out of you once you've emerged from the pool to escape the bees, and no, it does not cause rashes and what not like that bastard wasp thingy...just immense pain!
Behind the pool you can see the big house that ecojunkie was staying in with her female cohorts who would inveigle us for swims after dark, when one didn't care about what ghastly creatures may lurk in the pool anymore!
The nice thing is the pool was cleaned of carcasses and suchlike every morning, so no problem!
GvR: "So how high did the blood spurt after your 3rd lego accident again?"
Dest. :"THIS high! True story!"
GvR: "NO!"
Dest. : "YESS!"
Sometimes I would join the merry bunch, after a long day of whining...Good times...Good times!
Dest: "Oh, look! It's leachy taking a pic of us!"
RP: "Hello leachy!"
GvR: "Wonder why he has a camera mounted on top of his rifle!?"
Dest. :"Bwahaahaahaa! That's the new rifle I played with this morning!"
RP: "Heeheeheee!"
Click....click....
