Re: Etosha Elephants
Wonder why they have quite feeble tusks, Dewi? Quite an isolated population?
Bigger tuskers in the desert/mountain ellies in Nam?

Etosha ellies are the tallest in Africa RP, but have small tusks due to mineral deficiencies.

That is just so heart-warming!
Always great to watch the affection amongst ellies.
God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.
Re: Etosha Elephants
A herd of Elephants come out of the bush towards the waterhole at Rietfontein.

They split up into two groups, with one female taking part of the herd to the left and the matriarch (collared), leads her group to the right side of the waterhole.

The little herd spend some time drinking at the waters edge.

Before the Matriarch and other adult female signal their intention to move on to the youngsters. Both adults in this pic are facing in the direction they intend to travel, bend the front leg at the ankle and emit low rumbling sounds to the rest of the group before moving on.
