BluTuna,
I've just got onto the Xtrail with you to KTP. Our holiday in June -July also started with car problems but that was already in Kruger. The Pathy is still not OK and need a turbo change before we go the KTP en 7 weeks. Hold thumbs for us other wise it will be plan C for us as well.
You had a great start and stunning bird pics, the cheetahs, cute squirrels and meerkats.
Don't fee bad about the cheetah. KNP is far better to see them. Our luck was zero in April, but lots of lions, including one that walked passed Mel's tent when we went to say good bye.
Thanks for the feedback on the renovation at Nossob. Looks like the big construction works will either start end Oct - Nov after finishing the fence or next year if the heat gets to bad.

Catching up, BT!
Stunning shots again! Haven't sent them to media!
(Yet)
Also intrigued by the plumage of those young ostriches!
The other bird pics are mostly boring, but the action shots of the meerkat and squirrel are superb!
Sounds like a bit of a bad-tempered trip...more
and less coffee!
Anthrax has nothing to do with water pumped out of the ground, BTW, but at least they got the message, which is what we were aiming for!

You got some amazing pics!
The second AWC looks almost ginger in colour!

Love the colors of the Shrike![]()
The campsite shenanigans look like lots of fun
More often than not, I point my camera at a Crimson Breasted Shrike and it immediately moves into the shade or flies off.
Yeah, I'm not sure why the Suricates wanted the apple, I'm pretty sure they don't eat fruit.

Thanks Mel, not sure what to believe nowMel wrote:Amazing action shots of the wild cat, the tawny, the meerkat(s)interacting with the squirrel(s), the secretary etc. And then another wild cat - splendid!
Plus a most beautiful sunset *sigh*
Don't buy the story tourist are being fed... There must be a good reason why someone who has studied anthrax says it is exactly that *twisted*
Thanks for the info on the progress at Nossob. Will copy it over to the developments if you're good with it.
Oh, and the five cheetah at Melkvlei are probably Corinne (sister of Hanri) and her first set of offspring. Probably not long anymore before those are on their own as well.
You're welcome to copy the Nossob update to wherever you need to.
