Shortly after we had some nice birds visiting

Indian Reed Heron ( :ty: for the ID, Nan!)

Five white ones quite close

Someone rinsing his "skirt" ;-)

and after a little while the 5 egrets flew away

Image

and we went to eat a bite 40 meters away lol

Image

For Fa French fried and calamari

Image

and for me (don't remember the name anymore 0*\ ) a kind of cottage cheese chunks in very tasty not at all hot curry based on spinach. The green sauce was delicious

As most of these restaurants do not have a liquor license they wrap up the glasses and the bottle of beer or serve it in mugs and or they take away the bottle or hide it under the table lol All the bottles are 65ml so perfect for two at a meal. It must be the most open secret in the country =O:

The crows and herons are quite clever. I'm sure they have learned by now that there are always left overs after the net has been pulled in...
Shame the fishermen weren't rewarded better for their labour. It's quite a number of them who have to live on the proceedings of that fish sale,
so no surprise that they don't look all too happy...

Would have loved to taste your dish. I would think it's Palek Paneer. At least that's a dish that comes with spinach and cheese. Love it! *drool* lol

Chitals are the food of Tigers O-/

the dark Egret is a Western Reed Egret (Indian Reed Heron)
the white one certainly Great Egret (Large Egret, Great White Heron)

Dogs also search for left over... during the night ;-)

Thank you for the ID, Nan 0/0

The white egrets are small, Nan! not more than 30/40 cm. The size of a cattle egret more or less :-?
