I wonder why black-shouldered kites always find such awkward places to rest :-?

It really looks as if Aardlam is bowing before her king lol

The tall white squills make a nice scenic touch to the pics \O

The warty has quite a pair of tusks

The lioness seems to have a weird tail end colour?

Are the squills indigenous? O-/

Not sure if you mentioned it on the Addo Sightings thread before... but who did Mel Gibson fight with that they both sport scars in their faces like that?
4 years ago they were like teenagers without any flaws and these days they are really majestic and very male. lol

NIce tusker shot!!! ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^ And you always have to stop for black shouldered kites. O\/

Yes the restaurant timing wasn't my idea but there were some family politics which I didn't want to get involved in 0*\ 0*\ O**
The lions are normally named after park staff - though the original ones brought from the KTP were generally named after places/waterholes there \O

You're right - the BSKs do tend to find interesting perches lol

Yes, Aardlam is quite easy to identify due to the white tip to her tail. I presume she lost the end of it at some early stage of her life as it's always been like that
I'm not entirely sure whether the squill is indigenous. You get it up in some places in Zim, so perhaps it is -O-

Mel & Gibson got the scars mainly from each other lol
They were scrapping earlier this year with Norman & Zwaai, but most of the recent scratches are from fights with each other over mating rights with Aardlam \O

Thanks Pumbaa - the males really are magnificent animals. Particularly now they have reached maturity \O
