This will be a travel tale that does not conform to the traditional format 0- , other than using photographs I took on our trip [O] . It will not go day by day or sighting by sighting, but will be a compilation of entries based solely on my own bizarro whims. O-/ Lucky you.

Here we go….but since we're unconventional, unstrap those confining and annoying seat belts!

After gathering groceries and libations for our 32 day stay in the park, we drove our overloaded 4x4 to Kieliekrankie. The feeling of finally arriving, after a year away and the 2 plus days it takes us to get to KTP, is indescribable except to those of you who share this innate love of Nature.

The first day is largely taken up by unloading, sorting, repackaging, and freezing portions for the next month of meals, so our sightings were limited to the drive from TR to KK.

Birds accounted for most of the day's sightings, as it was late in the day and HOT.

(It seems to work if I post fewer pics per post \O )

Hi, my name is ExFmem and I have a sordid past.
I used to be a serial killer.
THOUSANDS of dead bodies lay in my wake. 0'

Drawers and drawers full of properly labelled and identified specimens that I used to be proud of, but am no more. Now it's just a mixture of embarrassment and shame, to be honest.

Years ago, on my very first trip to Africa (a collecting trip to Kenya), I fell deeply and madly in LOVE with your continent. I put down my net, my generator and night collecting lights, and picked up a camera instead.

I now try to capture the beauty of insects through photography, and the Kgalagadi has some really wonderful specimens.
