Tourist Facilities in Limpopo National Park Concessions

Limpopo National Park starts looking for concessionaires to develop eight blocks that have been identified within the Limpopo National Park section of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park. The concessions will be released in phases over the next years, starting with the Machampane and Madonse concessions.
Now up for tender is the Machampane concession which is located in the southwestern portion of the park. The plan is to develop 3-4 star tourist facilities. The existing 5 x 2-bed tented camp can be expanded to reach 40 beds, which may be located in more than one location within the concession area. The location of the additional facilities would be subject to the park’s approval process.
The Madonse concession is situated in the west along the Lebombo mountains. The block, measuring approximately 10,000 hectares, targets facilities in the 4-5 star categories.
